    Having trouble with PL (futures) rollover

    Hi,

    When I try to open the PL (futures chart) it opens up to PL-06-18 (last months?) and says it "Error on requesting bars series: 'Unknown instrument 'PL 06-18". I don't have this problem with any of the other futures contracts I have open.

    What can I do to fix this? It was fine yesterday I think and then today it's not.

    Thank you for your note.

    Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN CHRIS S" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.

    * Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
    * Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    * Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
    * Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

      Hi, I have emailed that information to you.

      When I look at the PL instrument, under Contract Months, it says:

      Contract Month: 10-18
      Offset 3.4
      Rollover date: 2018-06-27

      Since It's past June 27th, I think the problem is it should have shown up under Database management to be rolled over, but it's not there. Or it was there and it failed to rollover somehow. How can I rollover and open the PL-10-18 chart? When I search PL when adding a new chart, it automatically picks up PL-06-18 which is over.

      I'm probably not understanding the rollover dates properly but something is definitely off somehow. Thanks!

          Problem resolved itself

          Looks like over time it updated to the right contract. I'm missing some data but I don't think that's a NinjaTrader issue. Thanks!
