    copying chart values

    Hi

So having painstakingly set up an hourly chart as I want them (indicators, colours, sizes, etc) I want to know how I will keep all those settings when I am changing the symbol?

Also, some settings will be different on lower time-frame charts (5 mins for example)

How do I set one up and then ensure all charts loaded with that time interval have the same indicators and settings etc?

    Thanks!

    Hello Irukandji,

    Thanks for your post.

You can create a chart template that would save your settings. the template can then be applied when creating a new chart or applied to an existing chart.

Please ee the helpguide sections, " How to save a Chart Template" and "How to load, remove, or rename a Chart Template": https://ninjatrader.com/support/help..._templates.htm

Thanks - OK, I read the help guide.

But it seems indicators I use with certain time periods are not automatically loaded when creating a new chart?

For example, I always have volume up/down on my hourly charts - but when I create a new hourly chart, the volume isn't there.

      Thanks.

        Hello Irukandji,

        Thanks for your post.

        Please try this test.

Create a new 60 minute chart.
Add the VolumeUpDown to the chart.
Right mouse click on the chart and select "templates" "save as..." Enter a name such as "test" and then click the save button.
        Next, create a new chart
On the new chart, right mouse click and select "templates" "Load" and select the previously saved "test" template.

Does the chart now show the VolumeUpDown?

          It works yes.

So I must use templates in future.

          OK thanks!
