Playback Window does not activate

    Playback Window does not activate


    Hi there,

    When I go into Connections -> Playback Connection, the Playback window itself does not activate. Occasionally I need to be patient and wait a few minutes for the window to activate, but leaving this up for over an hour, the Playback window never comes to life.

    Thank you for your post.

    Glad to assist. What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.? or 8.0.?.?)


    Do you receive an error on screen when this occurs? Are there errors on the Log tab of the Control Center? If so, what do these errors report?

      Version = 8.0.3.1 64-bit (Multi-Broker)

      In the log file, I'm getting error:
      1/1/2020 5:33:08 PM Connection Playback file 'C:\Users\Lethal\Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\replay\ES 12-15\20151216.nrd' is corrupted and will be skipped: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

          Please write into to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com along with your log and trace files and a link to this forum post.

          Include ticket number 2377488 in the body of the email.

          Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your response so I may investigate this matter further.
          Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
          Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
          Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
          Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

            I found the problem. I was using the Market Replay Data Download tool, to download historical data, and it apparently corrupted my replay data. I've fixed it, so you can close. Thanks
