    Interactive Brokers Gateway error. Any comments appreciated.

    Hello.
    While strategy worked on Interactive Brokers Gateway connection error happened:

    Error on resolving symbol ES 03-20 on connection I B GATEWAY 1, exception caught: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

    The strategy keep running.
    IB connection was interrupted.

    Is this problem of IB adaptor, or is this problem caused by strategy?
    I did not find reports about similar issues.

    In which direction would you recommend looking for a solution to the problem?

    This particular issue likely would not be attributed to a NinjaScript strategy.

    I would like to look into this further with you.

    First, we should identify a way to reproduce the issue, and then we should confirm if the issue is seen on the latest version of NT8 (Release 20.1) when using IB Gateway 973.2h. A download link for this version of IB Gateway can be found in our Interactive Brokers Connection Guide.

    If we see issues here, please reach out to me at platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com with the text "Attn Jim" and include the ticket number 2385832 along with a link to this thread. I would like to review your log and trace files, and take any steps you have noted to reproduce the issue so I can investigate further.

    The steps below can be followed to retrieve your log and trace files.
    • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
    • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
    • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to our support email address
    • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

        Thanks for the reply fx.practic.

        I downloaded the file and have it attached to my ticket. As a heads up, I removed the download link so any personal information from the log and trace files will not be available on the forum.

        I'll reply back after I have been able to review further.

          Reviewing the log and trace files, the error looks to be attributed to the connection adapter.

          Do you see this error when you test with NinjaTrader 8 Release 20.1 and when using IB Gateway 973.2h?

              I am also having some difficulty with the proper operation (specifically login), but think it may be because I am not using the versions referenced in the IB Connection guide. I am on a 32 bit machine and the download links are only for 64 bit versions. Is there any chance you can provide the 32 bit versions of GATEWAY (and TWS) that are referenced in the IB connection guide? I have searched everywhere and can not find these older 32 bit versions. I can only find older or newer 32 bit versions on the IB website.

                Thanks for your question.

                We do not have a 32 bit version of this installer, but you should still be able to use the latest version from Interactive Brokers to get connected. We recommend using the version from the Help Guide as that particular version has been thoroughly tested with NinjaTrader.

                You may also ask Interactive Brokers if they have an installer for 973.2 on hand that they could give you.
