Playback window takes a long time to activate

Hi there, the Playback Window takes a long time to come to life.

When I go Connections -> Playback, it can take hours for the Playback window to activate. To address:

- I've clear the /cache, /log, and /trace directories
- There is only 60 days of data in my /db/reply folder
- I reboot the machine, and start the program fresh.

Yet, I'm still waiting hours for that Playback windows. Furthermore, I am running playbacks on three different machines, and all three machines demonstrate this behavior, to one degree or another.

Do you have any suggestions on steps I can take to get the Playback window to come to life sooner, upon initiating a Playback connection?

Thank you for your note.

It sounds like you may have deleted the NinjaTrader 8/cache folder, this would have a significant impact on the platform as this is not the specific cache folder you're looking for.

You're going to want to reinstall NinjaTrader or preform a repair since you've removed this file.

To preform a repair of your installation:

• Close NinjaTrader
• Open the Windows Control Panel
• Select the "Uninstall a Program" option under Programs.
• In the list, select NinjaTrader 8 and click the "Repair" Option.
• Follow the Onscreen Prompts
• Once Complete, restart NinjaTrader 8.
