Trading stocks.. got realtime data feed but cannot place orders?

Dear Ninjatrader

I have a Kinetick datafeed which includes (realtime) stock data. My brokerage account is with Phillip Capital.
If i open ninjatrader i can view the (realtime) stock data, but when i try to put in a (limit) order i get an error message:

'Unable to submit order' Native error='Order 'a8c847676a634e3e8b5a7efeca9ca44f' can't be submitted: instrument 'TSLA 'is not supported by this account.'

Can you explain why this happens, and what i need to do to be able to trade stocks ?

Hello Erwin,

Thanks for posting to the forums.

I suspect your account with Phillips Capital only supports trading futures contracts and would not include trading stocks. You'd need an account which supports Equities. More information can be found below in our Help Guide article regarding this topic:

So if i understand you correctly then i need to open an E-Signal, Interactive Brokers or TD Ameritrade account and hook that up to ninjatrader ?

I came across this page thru google search on NT's market data provider; I have trading accounts with TDAM, can I hook it up to NT and do futures day-trading using NT platform ?

Having said not, futures are not supported with this connection only Equities and their options, and index data.
