    Setting Risk Levels in Forex

Could someone please tell me how to set proper risk levels for forex. I just got my forex account up and running but can not place a trade in sim because it says risk levels are not defined. I tried to add different levels but got no where. Can someone give me a step by step guide please for setting risk levels for major currency pairs.

    Thanks in advance

    Hello tradersgrail,

    Thank you for your post.

Glad to assist. The template may be reviewed or custom templates may be created via Tools > Risk.

To apply the risk template, go to the Control Center Accounts tab > right click on the account > Edit account > Risk.

Let us know if we may assist further.

          Thank you for your reply.

From the screen shot, a number an instrument has been partially setup. You can double-click a row to edit or add setting that may have been missed. To add a new instrument row, select the lower right Add. Values themselves will be best provided by your broker.

To apply the risk template, go to the Control Center Accounts tab > right click on the account > Edit account > Risk.

              Thank you for your reply.

Margin and risk values can vary between brokers. Because of this, these are best verified via your broker.

Can you elaborate further on what you need assistance with? Risk values have already successfully been added on your end, so it may be best to clarify what trouble you are having applying the template or if you are just wanting to verify the values needed.

Currently the PnL will only go out two decimal places and for the size being traded 1 will generate a PnL outside this value. Keep in mind with Forex.com within NinjaTrader 8 if you are want to trade a Micro lot you would want to use a quantity of 1,000, for a Mini lot you would use 10,000 and for a Full lot you would use 100,000.

I am still looking at zero's on my DOM and haven't a clue of what to do with the risk window settings

maybe a screen shot of one that works correctly?

This is due to the quantity you are trading. Can you please test using a Mini lot so a quantity of 1,000 as opposed to 1 and let me know if you then see a PnL value.

Understanding risk definitions, is vague. https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...ding_risks.htm
the fields populated by numbers. Are the numbers representative of; percentage, tics, pips, US Dollars, pixie wings, Led Zeppelin’s??? Should I put $55.00 initial margin for USDJPY or should I put 5%???
