Candlesticks formatting

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a way to make bearish candlesticks filled and bullish candlesticks hollow on a given chart? I see you have the option to do either one or the other for ALL candles, but wondering if there is a way to accomplish this. Thanks!

you could make the color for down bars transparent:

You'll find these colors by right-clicking on your chart > Data series > Change the 'Color for down bars' to Transparent > OK.

What I was really getting at was how to keep the "borders" of the candle green and red, but only have the red candles filled...Doing what you suggested removes the color from the borders...

Thanks for the clarification. This functionality is not built into the platform, however, this would be possible with custom NinjaScript programming. If any other forum users know of an add-on that accomplishes this, please comment with that information.

Here is a basic guideline of how to import NinjaScript add-ons in NinjaTrader 8:

Note — To import NinjaScripts you will need the original .zip file.

To Import:

1. Download the NinjaScripts to your desktop, keep them in the compressed .zip file.
2. From the Control Center window select the menu Tools > Import > NinjaScript Add-on...
3. Select the downloaded .zip file
4. NinjaTrader will then confirm if the import has been successful.

Critical - Specifically for some NinjaScripts, it will prompt that you are running newer versions of @SMA, @EMA, etc. and ask if you want to replace, press 'No'

Once installed, you may add the indicator to a chart by:

• Right click your chart > Indicators... > Select the Indicator from the 'Available' list on the left > Add > OK
