What happened to static Super Dom

Loaded the new ver 8.0.21.0 Ninja 8 and it has no static Super Dom. Liked the static better.

    Hello,

The static superdom's availability would be based off your license key. I would confirm your live license key is entered under Help>License Key.

If your license key is not enabled for the static superdom, please write to platformsales[at]ninjatrader[dot]com for options on enabling this on your license key.

When does that ridiculous Trading Technologies patent expire? Seems about time to end fees to TT for a common design that should have been denied a patent in the first place.

Thanks Ryan, was using the free trial lease license in sim so I'm a little confused switching to free live version, thought it was the upgrade.

There was some interesting activity last year,
In Trading Technologies International, Inc. v. IBG LLC, Interactive Brokers LLC, the Federal Circuit agreed with the Patent Trial and Appeal Board that the contested claims of three patents for graphical user interfaces for electronic trading were eligible for covered business method review and also patent ineligible.

The article is not entirely clear as to effect, and is silent as to patent expiration dates, but it sounds like IB successfully challenged the patent claims that Trading Technologies used to demand fees for 3rd-party (e.g. NinjaTrader) use of the static price ladder concept. If so, no doubt NT built into the old TT fee agreement a termination clause that allows NT to terminate now and end static DOM fees. Who at NT is the contact to ask about this?

Probably better to email Ray and ask. (Raymond Deux)

Out of curiosity, did anything come of this? Like does the patent anytime soon? Thanks.
