Is it fixed?? I tried trading 1 week ago, and this issue was a very serious problem for me, I just couldn't trade properly. Please, fix it as soon as possible! I really wanted to do trading, but since there is such a serious problem, I will try gambling on some crypto casino like https://rocketpot.io/, maybe I can win even more money, haha. I really have a lot of friends that have won thousands of dollars in casino's, so I think that it's worth trying. Even if I lose a lot of money - at least I tried, haha

Faced a problem, I can't add a pair. Gives an error message. It is listed on coinbase.com (https: //pro.coinbase.com/trade/DASH-USD) but not on coinbase-NT8 listings.

NinjaTrader comes preloaded with the most commonly traded instruments however most Crypto items included are currency pairs. Should you wish to add an instrument to your database that is not located in the preloaded lists, please follow these steps:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments window.
• Left-click on the ‘add’ button that appears near the lower right-hand corner of the Instruments window.
• Enter instrument-specific symbol mapping, exchanges, and other information on the Instrument editor that appears. This information will largely depend on your broker or data feed. provider’s specific settings regarding the instrument in question. You would want to match the symbol mapping for the Coinbase connection to the instrument you're adding.
• Left-click the OK button once each field has been filled out with correct information.

The new instrument has now been created in your database. Should you wish to add this instrument to an instrument list:

• Navigate to the Control Center > Tools > Instruments Lists window.
• Left-click to select the instrument list that you wish to add this instrument to in the left panel, then left-click on the ‘add’ button at the bottom of the right-hand panel.
• Type the name and (if applicable) front month of your instrument in the search field that appears. Press the Enter button on your keyboard to confirm this change.
• Left-click the OK button to close the Instrument Lists window.

Your new instrument is now added to the instrument list of your choice.

Hi, I'm trying to add ADAUSD, from Coinbase/GDAX, but I can't, I get this error message:

The "Master instrument" field for cryptocurrency instruments can only contain the cryptocurrency code of the 2 supported cryptocurrencies being used

What do I have to do to add ADAUSD to my instruments? Why can't you update the instruments directly from the tools option?

When will you add BINANCE to connections?

Hi All, We have a change request to add ADAUSD to the default NinjaTrader database, it will show up in the patch notes as "NTEIGHT-14872". Other currency pairs we have added as a feature request, to request a specific currency pair to chart, add a vote to SFT-5240.

I as well as maybe some others really do require help understanding symbol mapping on Ninjatrader 8. Is there training available for this. I have tried mapping ASX data from IB and Crypto without much success at all. Both BTCUSD and ETHUSD come loaded with the software and I have interrogated the settings and copied them into the instrument data but can only get a blank screen when I try to access a chart. Any advice overcoming this issue would be graetly appreciated.

Hello PeterBrazel, thanks for your post.

The BTCUSD and ETHUSD instruments are mapped for the Coinbase connection only. If you set up a coinbase connections and connect to it you will be able to pull up these instruments. If your data provider supplies data for an instrument, you can go to Tools>Instruments>search the instrument you want to chart>enter the symbol map for your connection. This value will be the same value you enter in the other platform to chart the instrument.

I am just a little unsure as to how to cofigure the coinbase connection such that it recognises my Coinbase account. I do have a Coinbase account but your connection settings do not provide a link to that account.
Can you advise please?

Hello Peter, thanks for your reply.

The Coinbase connection does not connect to individual accounts, just add it to the Configured list and you will be able to connect to it.

Yes quyite a few symbols are listed but not all the ones on Coinbase. Specifically I am trying to chart Cardano (ADA) which is trading on Coinbase but its not appearing in my instrument list.
Can you clarify?

Our development team has not added the ADAUSD symbol to the historical data server yet. If I do get a notification when they do this, I will let others know on this forum post.
