    I get an error when I try to connect to my ToS (TDA) simulated account

    Hi,

    I'm testing ToS simulated account and I created a connection to it on NT8.
    Followed all the steps, as you can see on the screenshot i got the connection authorized, but everytime I connect to it, it fails.

    Can anyone help here, why is the connection fail?

    So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:
    • What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.?.?)
    • Was this connection working previously? Or has it never worked?
    • To clarify, this is a Think or Swim demo account, not a live TD Ameritrade account?
    • Was the verification process within the browser window that opened during the connection configuration successful?
    • Does this symptom persist if you restart your PC?

      Hi.

      - I'm using 8.0.21.0 64-bit version
      - This is the first time I'm connecting NT8 to ToS
      - Yes, this is a ToS demo account, not TDA live account
      - Yes, the verification was done within IE browser, had no problem with the user and password
      - I just restarted the PC, same situation, same error

        The root cause here would be that demo ToS accounts are not supported. Only live US TD Ameritrade accounts will be able to connect in NinjaTrader 8.
