Order Flow Vol Profile Right Side Margin

Hey Devs,

Just wanted to start off by saying that I have been waiting quite a while for this update and I am ecstatic that it is finally released! One issue I noticed is that the moment this indi is loaded, it does not allow the user to manually adjust the right side margin to a preset number in the chart properties.

Thanks for reporting this. This is a limitation since the Order Flow Volume Profile does some managing to the Right Side Margin. However, we will look to improve this with the next release so that if you enter a Right Side Margin before applying the Order Flow Volume Profile, it will retain the margin.

Hi,

Would it be possible to let me know how I can edit the right margin when the volume profile indicator is attached to the chart? The price bars are very close to the righthand scale and it wont move when I edit the right margin value.

What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.X.0)

Issue 13041 in release 8.0.15.1 resolved one symptom involving Order Flow+ Volume Profile indicator and the chart's right-side margin.

Please upgrade to 8.0.15.1 if you're not on this version:

• First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

If the issue persists, please detail the exact steps I would need to follow to replicate what you're reporting.

I'm on 8.0.17.0 and this appears to be broken again - I can't get volume profile fully right-aligned when there is a right hand margin, no matter which order I add the margin & profile.

This thread was regarding the symptom that fix #13041 resolved - "Order Flow Volume Profile reverted custom right side margin when applied". I cannot reproduce this issue following the original steps that caused it using 8.0.17.x:

• Apply the Order Flow Volume Profile to a chart
• Right click on the chart and select properties
• Attempt to change the Right side margin

Please go into specific detail about what 'I can't get volume profile fully right-aligned' means exactly, provide exact steps to reproduce the issue you're describing, and also provide a screenshot of the issue.

I am using NT8 version 8.0.17.2 64-bit . I cannot get the profile into the right hand margin of the chart (not on bar chart). It always aligns on the right but on top of the bars. I have tried removing the indicator then changing the margin, then re adding the indicator with the Profile Alignment set to Right. Any Ideas ? Has anyone been able to get the profile into the margin?

Steps
1. Create Chart
2. Change Margin to 250 in Chart Properties.
3. Add OrderFlow Volume Profile
4. Change Profile alignment to Right. Click OK
5. Chart ends up like attached.

To use the new 'Display in margin' feature, your profile must be set to 'Profile period' = 'Composite', There is a screenshot example in the release notes on how this new feature works. Otherwise, I would expect the Order Flow Volume Profile to stay attached with the chart's right-side margin setting as you've demonstrated.
