    City Index Historical Data Issues



    With City Index, there are problems with data for the following Instruments:

    US SP500 CFD
    Germany30 CFD
    US Tech 100 CFD
    UK 100 CFD
    Japan 225 CFD
    Wall Street CFD

    On the daily chart, the in-progress bar doesn't show.
    On the weekly chart the data is missing from 2015 onwards.

    If I use Ninjatrader historical data the problem is worse.

    Thank you for the post.

    What you are seeing here is unfortunately just a limitation with the historical data for these products.

    Unfortunately it looks like this particular provider, as well as our own historical data servers, do not have complete data for this instrument.

    Would you mind sharing a screenshot of one of these charts so that I may test and confirm on our end?

        I have spoken to City Index. They have confirmed that Daily and Weekly historical data is available for these instruments. They are saying this is a Ninjatrader issue.

          Hello,

          Thank you for your note.

          It may be worth it to try deleting your historical data and refreshing it from the server.

          Please delete your historical data using the instructions provided at the following page of the NinjaTrader Help Guide:

          Removing Historical Data
          • Once the data has been deleted close NinjaTrader. Open the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\cache folder. Select all files then right mouse click and select “delete.”
          • Open NinjaTrader and connect to your data provider. Open a new chart.

          Please let me know if this resolves this item.

            I tried this but have the same issues. Are you not able to reproduce this?

              Thank you for the reply.

              Unfortunately none of our test accounts are enabled for this particular instrument to test and see if our charts match.

              That being said, when I pull up @GER30 and @UK100, which we are enabled for, I do not have any missing data.

              I would like to take a closer look at what is going on with your platform in particular.

              Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

              You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

              Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
