Hi,

I'm just getting started using NT and interested in trading USDINR but unable to find this pair. I'm using the Forex FreeLiveData ( https://ninjatrader.com/FreeLiveData).
Attaching a screenshot for the same.

Who are you connecting to for data?

Is this a forex instrument?

Have you confirmed with that brokerage supports the instrument in question?

I'm connecting to the Free Live Forex data - https://ninjatrader.com/FreeLiveData and believe this is FXCM live forex demo data (free). This is a currency pair USD and INR (Indian Rupee).

Hello trade_noob,

You can view the connection type by clicking Connections > configure on the NinjaTrader Control Center.
In the Configured area, select the connection you are connected to (that has a green dot in the Connections menu).
The connection type will be at the top on the right in the properties.

I do not have a FXCM connection to test.
Please contact FXCM to confirm this instrument is available.

Are you certain that you are not connecting to a NinjaTrader Forex connection?

Sorry, I believe I'm connecting to Ninja Trader Live Forex Data.

Please let me know if additional configuration is required to chart USDINR - as this is unlikely that this currency pair is exempted in the data level.

Before continuing please update to the latest version of NinjaTrader 8.0.21.1.

Updates to NinjaTrader will contain the latest security updates and bug fixes, as well as new instruments and rollover dates.

To update NinjaTrader

• Shutdown all programs including NinjaTrader *important
• Download NinjaTrader from the public link below
  Click here to download NinjaTrader
• Double click the downloaded file to execute it
• Follow the on screen instructions
• Restart NinjaTrader

The full list of Forex instruments in the database can be found by looking at the Control Center > Tools > Instruments and selecting Forex on the left.

The USDINR however is not pre-mapped and would need to be created with the settings for the specific connection type.

However, I have tested with NinjaTrader Forex and found this instrument pair is not available.

Hello trade_noob,

Ninjatrader Forex does not provide data for the USDINR instrument. If you set up the correct settings there would be no data for the chart and the chart would be blank because this connection does not have data for this instrument.

I would always recommend updating to the latest version of NinjaTrader 8. However, this would not cause NinjaTrader Forex to start providing data for this instrument.
