NT8 on high resolution monitors:(QHD, UHD): Best practices?

Forum search shows up multiple posts talking about NT8 support for 4K monitors. I think the official position is that NT8 does not support the UHD resolution. I am about to get a new monitor and wanted to understand it better.

A few questions:

Does NT run fine on a 2K (QHD) 2560 × 1440 pixels monitor?

Can I buy a 4K monitor but use it in QHD (2K) mode if NT runs fine on 2K?

Has NT support verified that this works?

Since NT is based on the Microsoft .NET platform should it not support 4K like Windows does?
Are there are specific features which cause problems on 4K monitors?

I plan to run it using Intel 530 native graphics on an i7 which supports 4K @ 60Hz via DisplayPort.

Thank you for your post.

We do not officially support at this time is 4K (or higher) resolutions. We have plans for full 4K resolution support in the future, but I do not have any estimate on when that may be.

The workaround at this time would be to Disable Display Scaling on high DPI settings.

This problem exists because NinjaTrader does a scaling when going to high DPI screens.
The fix involves just disabling that feature in the shortcut that starts Ninja.

Here are the steps.
1) Right Click on the NinjaTrader shortcut - then press properties.
2) Click on "Compatibility"
3) Click on "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings"
4) click on "OK"

As long as you start ninja from this shortcut - there will be no adjustment to the graphics on 2k/4k monitors.
