Prevent number of visual bars in chart from growing to large

Hi!. I notice that if a chart is loaded with smaller size bars--like say 100 Volume and 500 bars--that as the day progresses, the number of bars keeps increasing (to like 5000++) and the starting bars are not visually trimmed off the back of the chart. This makes the chart too slow after a few hours and the indicators seems to lag behind too much (by 30s++ at the close).

Is there a way to continually trim the back side or for me to force it pragmatically from an indicator on the chart? I'm just concerned about the visual appearance, not the data (e.g. CurrentBar) within the indicator.

Currently I hit manually hit Ctrl-F and change the number of bars by 1 and apply but this is unacceptable for an automated system as the indicator in that chart starts dying.

Hello,

Thanks for writing in today.

You can right click on the chart> Reload Historical Data for the chart to populate with the values defined in the Data Series, and CTRL+ SHIFT+ R does the same.

Hi Marco,

1) That loads all charts all data (goodbye 3 minutes)
2) It is not a programmatic solution

I think its a bug since the system will eventually fail if run for infinite time.
