    Missed data

Hello, when I try to backtest my strategy on ES contract, it misses last 3 week data, why?

    Thanks!

    Hello U0000999,

    Thank you for your note.

What data provider are you connected to? Do you experience the same with a strategy such as SampleMACrossover using the same backtest settings?

I look forward to your reply.

        Hello U0000999,

        Thank you for the reply.

Please try running the same backtest using SampleMACrossover and let me know if you observe results for this period of data.

I look forward to your reply.

                Hello,

                Thanks for the reply.

The NinjaTrader Continuum demo is a CQG-based account.

Are you looking to log in to a different CQG account?

I look forward to your reply.

I'm trying to find the reason, what's going on, why I do not get last 3 weeks data on ES contract. Other contracts are good

                    Hello,

                    Thank you for the note.

This could be for any number of reasons, including corrupted data.

Please delete your historical data using the instructions provided at the following page of the NinjaTrader Help Guide:

                    Removing Historical Data
                    • Once the data has been deleted close NinjaTrader. Open the Documents\NinjaTrader 8\db\cache folder. Select all files then right mouse click and select “delete.”
                    • Open NinjaTrader and connect to your data provider. Open a new chart.

Please let me know if this resolves this item.

                        Hello,

                        Thank you for the reply.

That is actually accurate price data.

Due to market volatility, there were many days in March where the CME closed down trading for futures instruments temporarily.

Those dashes represent those times when the markets were closed.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
