Requirement to autotrade Ninja strategy on Interactive Brokers

Hi,

I currently have a trial of Ninja Trader. I would like to trade a strategy developed on Ninja Trader through my Interactive Brokers account. So I will be connecting Ninja Trader to my Interactive Brokers account. Do I need to purchase anything from Ninja Trader to do this or is all the Ninja Trader software free?

Thank you, I see that is clear from the link you sent.

I have another question. My trading strategy needs continuous real time data to assess trade signals. If I am running the strategy through Ninjatrader but executing on IB. Will I need a real time data subscription on Ninjatrader or IB or neither?

If I do need Ninjatrader data I have various data subscriptions through sierra charts are these transferable to Ninja trader?

Thank you for your post.

To clarify, NinjaTrader itself is not a data provider, data will need to be enabled on IB or which ever connected data feed/broker will be used to receive market data for trading.

I am still confused by the issue after following the links you sent. Can I use my Sierra chart data subscription with Ninja Trader? Otherwise I will be paying for the same data feed and exchange subscriptions twice.

No, Sierra Charts is not a NinjaTrader-supported data feed.

I have now subscribed to NT platform and completed my data subscriptions in IB.

I don't seem to have received any confirmation that my NT platform is now a live subscription one v. previous trial/simulated one?

When running the strategy connected to IB the NT orders seems to be going into the sim account still.

Our Sales team should be following up via the live key soon. You may also email via the email used to purchase and they will be able to follow up (PlatformSales[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]Com).

Once received, you may enter the live key via Help > License key > Press OK.

Each order Entry window will have an Account drop-menu that determines which account will be traded. Please follow these steps to enable the ability to place live trades:

Navigate to the Control Center > Tools menu.
Left-click on the ‘Global Simulation Mode’ option.
You will now be able to select any live account associated with your connected data feed in any Account drop-down box on any order entry window.
