Older version needed (7.0.1000.33

Hello,

With the extra time on my hands I decided to start playing around with Ninjatrader again, I loaded my old projects in a fresh install of my IDE but it's missing 2 references:

Ninjatrader.Core.dll and Ninjatrader.Vendor.dll version 7.0.1000.33, I've tried including the current versions from the fresh Ninjatrader installation but I still seem to be getting errors so I presume they are too far apart. Can somebody get me these files? So far I found one location that has them but they want 50 bucks for it....

I see that you're running an older version of NinjaTrader 7 and would be critical to update to the most recent version. Please update NinjaTrader 7 and reset your instruments:

First, to update NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:

• First get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
• Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Enter your license key and press Submit
• Select 'NinjaTrader 7'
• Select 'Download'
• Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

Lastly, to reset your instruments, please follow the steps below:

• Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed
• Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK
• Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection

After doing so, please take the following steps to resolve this item:

• Open NinjaTrader
• From the Control Center select the Tools menu--> select the Edit NinjaScript menu item--> select Indicator
• Select an indicator and double click on it to open the code window.
• In the code window, right click and select References.
• Delete the existing reference to NinjaTrader.Core.DLL.
• Next, click the add button to open a window where you'll select a file to reference. Please select the following file: Documents > NinjaTrader 7 > bin > NinjaTrader.Core.DLL

After adding the reference, please right click in the code window and select Compile. Assuming no additional errors trigger, you should be good-to-go.

Thanks for your advice, I have added the new dll as reference but it was not in that location, I managed to find it in Program Files though. It's not missing in my IDE anymore, however, after compiling I get hundreds of errors saying "cannot explicitly call operator or accessor".

I'm afraid the versions are too far apart.

You wouldn't want to use the old version of these files.


To resolve this please uninstall and reinstall NinjaTrader then reset your instruments. Following these steps will not affect your data, settings, configuration, NinjaScripts, Workspaces, etc.

• First, save your license key to a document
• You can locate your license key by going to Help> License Key
• Now, exit NinjaTrader and uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Center
• Once uninstalled you can re-download NinjaTrader from the link below:
  • http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
• Paste your license key > Select Submit
• Download and then run the installer

After the reinstall, please follow the steps below to reset your instruments:

• Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed
• Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK
• Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection

Do not replace the newer files with the older versions.
