    Futures Demo - connected but charts not updating in real time

    Hi,

    I signed up for a new Ninjatrader 8 demo this a.m. & although the 'connection' is green and 'connected' - I am not getting live charts updating nor dom working nor is market analyzer updating.

    Any ideas?

    I have the same problem.Last friday everything was ok. Today, with a new demo....problems

        Hello jordi123,

        Thanks for writing in.

        I see that you're running an older version of NinjaTrader 7. The newer version contains many critical updates to the database. Please update NinjaTrader 7 and reset your instruments:

        First, to update NinjaTrader, please follow the steps below:
        • First get your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
        • Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
        • Enter your license key and press Submit
        • Select 'NinjaTrader 7'
        • Select 'Download'
        • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

        Lastly, to reset your instruments, please follow the steps below:
        • Disconnect from your data feed: NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Disconnect> Select your data feed
        • Reset your Instruments: NinjaTrader Control Center> Tools> Options> Data tab> Reset Instruments>OK
        • Restart NinjaTrader> Connect (NinjaTrader Control Center> File> Connect> Select your connection
        Please let me know if these issues persist after updating.

          • First, copy your license key from NinjaTrader under Help> License Key then exit NinjaTrader
          • Click on the link: http://ninjatrader.com/PlatformDirect
          • Enter your license key and press Submit
          • Select 'NinjaTrader 8'
          • Select 'Download'
          • Critical: Before running the installer, ensure NinjaTrader is closed.

          Once updated, resetting your instruments should resolve this item.

          To reset your instruments, please take the steps below.
          1. First, disconnect from any data providers by navigating to the Control Center > Connections menu, and left-click on “disconnect” that appears to the right when hovering your mouse over any active connection
          2. Next, reset your instruments by navigating to the Control Center > Tools > Database Management
          3. In the Database Management window, under the “Update instruments” section, ensure that “General properties”, "Futures expiries" and “Symbol mappings” options are checked and then click Update
          4. Lastly, restart NinjaTrader for the changes to occur

            Hi, I updated my ninja w/license key and clicked on the three items in database management - restarted Ninja - still same issue - (see screenshots).

              I have the same problem with NT8. I have the demo account and there is no live data. I've updated to the latest version and reset the instruments, nothing changed.

              My version is 8.0.21.1 64-bit.

                  Thank you for your note.

                  If you're having a problem with the demo accounts specifically we were made aware of an issue which is resulting in demo users not seeing live data, we are working with our demo provider to resolve the issue.

                  Please send an email into PlatformSupport(at)NinjaTrader(dot)com with the username and password you're using to connect to you demo so we may investigate this issue. Please include the text "no data with demo connection" in the subject line of the email.

                  NOTE: Please do not post user connection or account data on the forums. That information should be sent in an email to the Platform Support team.

                      Ninjatrader support (email) is looking into it:

                      "Thanks for the reply.

                      I can confirm that this demo does not receive real-time data as we would expect. I am reaching out to the underlying data provider now for more information.

                          We do not yet have confirmation from the data provider that this symptom is resolved, however, we've received some reports from some users that their demos which were not providing real-time data earlier today are now providing real-time data. To test this on your end, please disconnect then reconnect to the demo.

                          If there is still no real-time data on your end after your first test, please continue to check for real-time data periodically by disconnecting and reconnecting. If there is still no real-time data available by 8AM US ET tomorrow morning (04/28/2020), please reply on this thread or to the email I sent you if you wrote into us via email.

                              Hi there, im having this same issue? i've tried to do everything you have said but nothing is changing. When i open a chart it stays at the latest price that i opened it at and doesn't move. I have emailed you with my demo login details.
