    High memory usage

    Hi,

As soon as I start NT8, it begins to use more and more memory. After 5 minutes of sitting on the main workspace screen, without doing anything, memory usage climbs to 15 GB ( all of my computer's free memory ).

To reiterate: this is with no chart open, no strategy analyzer, no running strategies, no open positions - nothing. I've tried restarting my computer, and loading NT8 into safe mode. Neither of those made any difference. I'm not aware of a way to profile exactly what is causing the runaway memory usage, but I'm happy to do whatever diagnostics are necessary. Thanks for any help available.

    Hello,

So we can further diagnose your system, please start NinjaTrader in Safe Mode.

Safe Mode will prevent NinjaTrader from:
    • Loading workspaces.
    • Connecting on start-up.
    • Loading custom assemblies.
    • Getting instrument updates from the server.

To enable safe mode, please use the following steps:
    • Exit NinjaTrader.
    • Hold the CONTROL key and double click the NinjaTrader icon.
    • Keep the CONTROL key held down until you see the Control Center.
    • You can verify you are in safe mode by going to Help -> About.

Does the issue persist in safe mode as well?

Yes. In safe mode, without loading additional workspaces, without connecting to any data source, the memory usage still immediately rises, and doesn't stop until it's used all of my system's memory.
