Interactive brokers: Error on requesting bars series: 'Historical Market Data error..

    Hello,

I am new to IB. I have subscribed to stocks and futures market data.
I can see the ES chart on TWS.
When calling the ES chart on NT, I can get the live quotes, i.e. can get the last bar and if I live it running, it will continue building bars as time goes by, BUT does not populate the historical data. Log shows: 'Historical Market Data Service error message:No market data permissions for GLOBEX FUT'

As said, I am new to IB, so I might be missing something. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hello bertochi,

    Thanks for your post.

I suspect you may be using an unsupported version of TWS with this connection. You need to be using the supported version of TWS 973.2 as per the Connection Guide where this can also be downloaded:

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.

      Hi Marco,

      Thank you for your reply.
I am using TWS 973.2 as per the Connection Guide.
I have only subscribed to market data today. Live prices come just fine, there is a problem only with historical prices.
I will continue researching on my own, including asking IB support, but if anyone has any tip, that will be greatly appreciated.
      Thanks

        Hello,

        Thanks for your reply.

The data enablement may not have taken effect yet, and reaching out to IB to doublecheck sounds like a good next step here.

Please let me know if I may be of any further assistance.

Thanks @NinjaTrader_Marco, indeed I opened a chat with IB, they "refreshed" (whatever that might mean) my subscription and historical prices started flowing fine.

Thanks again and have a good day
