Gradient Brush on Properties Brushes Menu

Dear Support,

Trying to change candle Color to default Gradient Brush. The default GradientBrush is not listed on the chart properties drop down list. Two questions:

1. Why default default GradientBrush does not show up in the drop down menu?
2. Can default GradientBrush be used as backgrounds for chart and chart objects?

Glad to assist. At this time there is not an option to set this. However, this would likely be possible via custom programming.

If you are a programmer, our NinjaScript team may provide you links to samples which would help you write the indicator yourself, or I can have someone reach out with a list of third parties that would be interested in building this for you.

I think the point is missed here. The Gradient Brush was added in NT8 as a new feature in chart properties dropdown menu and as seen here I used it in this template for candle brush. But It is no longer listed on the list as you see in Post#1.

How can I get it back on the list of brushes to use it again.

Thank you for your post.

This color option is actually going to be controlled by the Skin you are using. The skin setting can bei found in the Control Center under Tools > Options. 'The Dark Skin' has Gradient Bush available as an option for colors.

I am just talking about color options in the properties drop down menu not the skins. I have not changed my skins. Both screenshot that I have posted are the same skin (Slate Gray), Just the backgrounds are different. Please compare the two screen shots color menus, they are same skin.

I am not sure if we are communicating, but all default skins have the Gradient Brush option. it just has disappeared from Slate Gray skin on my system and does not show on my color pallet anymore.

I would like to take a look at your log and trace files.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email and send it to platformsupport[at]ninjatrader.com so I may investigate this matter further. Please send the to Attn: Dennis

Open your NinjaTrader folder under My Documents.
Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

in the Chart Trader properties, Colors.. they are default to Gradient Brush.. however, I changed 2 of them to another colour.

Now I can't figure out how to change them back to Gradient Brush

How do I do it?

could you tell me what part of the drop down box it is in - top, middle, bottom? I looked many times but can't find it

Thank you for your post.

The gradient brush is actually programmed into the skin for each item that uses it and is not part of the usual dropdown color menu. Once you change it in the skin, you will not be able to change it back as it is not in the color list by default.
