    Simulated data feed trend rapidity

    Hi,

In simulation data feeding, is it possible to make trend movement even faster than now? Currently, the maximum speed is low (in the extreme position of the slider). We need to test strategies that require faster movement ...

    Hello Aporshnev,

    Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately, this is not currently possible within NinjaTrader. I have submitted this as a feature request to the Development Team. I will follow up with an internal tracking number for your reference as soon as it is created.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

Hey everyone. As I Google this problem I see the exact same posts of this issue as far as 5 years back. Clearly this feature request isn't a high priority for the dev team. To be clear the simulation is not usable if you simply want to practice. I just watched it take 10 minutes to draw a single candle. This was the first candle of the simulation and it was also 12 points tall. This isn't realistic to the current market and it's completely unpractical to wait an hour for a set up. If I'm being honest the lack of attention to this makes me think that there are decision makers upstream that would rather see new traders just jump into the market with both feet before understanding what they are doing. Bottom line this feature isn't helpful to the point of being unusable.

The speed of this sim feed is already controlled by a variable in the code. The dev team just needs to add some kind of UI element. This isn't a big deal.

            Hello,

Currently this feature request has not been implemented due to low demand, though I will add a vote on your behalf.

Please add another vote from me. Having a feed to test strategy code on without trying to mess with playback would be great. Its speed currently is unusable. Thanks

Please add my vote. Another option that may work is to add the trend slider to Playback which already has a speed controller. Thank you.
