Volume profile on chart keeps disappearing.

    Volume profile on chart keeps disappearing.

    Every few minutes the volume profile on my 1 min chart keeps disappearing. I have to keep pressing f5 to get it back. I took a screen shot of the error in the log.

    I found the indicator that might be the problem. I will contact the provider and let him know.

      Just to provide context as to why there is no indicator name listed there, I suspect the 'label' property of the indicator had been removed. This will cause the symptom that we see in the error message.

            Nope, that did not fix the problem. The label is there and it started doing it again.

              To reiterate, the label didn't cause the symptom to occur, it just caused the name of the offending indicator to not be shown. Is an indicator now named in the log message?

                No, it still just says indicator.

                  That indicates that the specific indicator throwing that error still has its label property blanked out. You would need to re-label every single indicator to truly test this symptom.

                  Please answer these questions:
                  • What version of NinjaTrader 8 are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 8.0.?.?)
                  • Does the symptom appear to occur after any particular action? For example, changing a chart's interval or instrument, connecting, placing an order, etc.
                  • Are you able to purposefully cause the symptom? Or does it seem to be random/intermittent

                    I think I found the problem. I had 2 volume profiles on the same chart and didn't realize it. One visible and one not visible. One of them was not labeled.
                    So far it has been 30 minutes and the problem has not occurred again. It usually was happening every 5 to 15 mins.

                    Hopefully it's fine now. We'll see.

                      So it's happening again. This time there is a label and the error was for the Volume profile in the log. What should I do now?

                        As a reminder, this only happens on the one min chart. Same settings for volume profile on all other charts.

                          Please send me your workspace, log, and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.
                          • You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support
                          • Expand 'Other files' and enable 'Workspace files and UI settings'.
