New issue with order placement and ATM
Was trading and entered short with an ATM, realized I was wrong and REV but it did not reverse with the active ATM. That’s frustrating enough, (is there a way to fix this?) but when manually placing my exit orders (sell lmt and sell stp) the price ran up and sold another contract instead of selling my current contract. There is no other option when placing a sell order other than “sell lmt” and “sell mit”. I have “keep selected ATM strategy template on order submission” selected under properties but I would hope that the software would give priority to current contracts over new orders. Any idea what’s happening?Tags: None

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
There is no way to prioritize orders in the way you have described; the market does not know which is an entry versus an exit order, and will fill any orders that are in a 'Working' or 'Accepted' state on your platform if the price and other conditions are met.
As for the order in question that did not work as expected, please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.
You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support
Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.
Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 2582396 ATTN Melissa
Thanks in advance; I look forward to resolving your inquiry.Melissa J.NinjaTrader Customer Service
