NT8 new version slow to load

Is there a reason the latest version takes 5 minutes to load each morning?

    Hello Irukandji,

    Thank you for your post.

Please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: 2590383 ATTN Heath

Thank you I'll look forward to those files.

          Hello Johnny and Irukandji,

This seems to be an issue with a high usage of Global Drawing objects. To investigate please follow the steps below:
          1. Navigate to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\templates\GlobalDrawingObject folder
          2. Look for very large file sizes (many megabytes)
          3. Try moving these large files from GlobalDrawingObject folder to Desktop and seeing if NT starts properly
Please let me know the results of this test.

I moved the file and it started up right away. It was 306 mb.

Can I delete the file from my desktop and will the problem reoccur?

              Hello Johnny,

              Thank you for the update.

If you delete this item the global drawing object it refers to will need to be recreated in your charts. But it wouldn't be there anymore because you moved the file in the first place.

With this item gone the problem should not recur, however let me know if this issue arises again and i'll be happy to assist you.

I only had 5 drawing objects..."lines" set to "view on all charts" 5 charts total. I've had waaayyyyyy more than that before and it never gave me any issues with loading. I also clear all drawing objects everyday at the end of the day and in the morning just in case.

Will there be an update to fix this?

                  Hello Johnny,

                  Thank you for your reply.

Development is investigating this issue and it should be resolved for a future update.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

It's giving me this message on shutdown which is also slow. Using about 17% of CPU processing according to Task Manager and "not responding".

I can also confirm that I was having trouble getting NinjaTrader to start properly (version 22.0). I tried starting in safe mode, clearing workspace folder (to start fresh), going through the installation again to "repair", then upgraded to v22.1... nothing worked.

But, renaming the GlobalObjects folder (to cause it to be recreated and start fresh) worked! Thank you for the suggestion, Heath.

I've been plagued with daily lock ups and freezes for months. I'm really hoping that this may solve many hours of frustration! EDIT: It didn't. Still have daily freezes.

                      Thank you!

OK, it's not loading AT ALL - how can I roll-back to the previous version? This new version is dead in the water.
