    Log In Separate Computer

    Hi,
    Having problem logging in.

    Objective:
    Log in on laptop at home to check markets before going to office in morning and potentially execute trades as well. Want to leave active trade going and then log in at office and effectively (automatically) kick out the laptop login at that time.

    If this is not allowed I do also already have a second log-in and pay for a second data feed as well.

    What's happening is that neither log-in is working on the laptop.

    Needs additional data? Machine ID or something?

    Hello JM,

    Depending on the connection type, connection on a second computer while automatically disconnect the connection on any other connected computer.

    The MachineID is not needed to connect to a data provider or broker.

    The connection may not be setup correctly.

    The most common reasons a connection fails is due to:
    • A space being include before and/or after the username and/or password.
      -Please try copying and pasting the username and password from the email you have received these in, and be sure no spaces are included with the username or password.

    • The 'Demo mode' box is unchecked for a demo account or is checked for a funded brokerage account.
      -Please ensure if this is a demo account that the Demo mode checkbox is checked
      -If this is a funded brokerage account, please ensure the Demo mode checkbox is unchecked.

    • The 14-day demo connection has expired


    The version of NinjaTrader is out of date (current versions are 8.0.15.1 and 7.0.1000.39)

    If this does not correct the connection please send an email to [email protected] so that we may further assist. In the email please include a link to this forum thread.

      Thank you for your response...
      Sending email per suggestion. All check good per your instruction; neither log in effective. Might also be due to personal hotspot connection type. I use my Iphone and tie the laptop in...

        Hello JM,

        If you connect the laptop hardwired to a router with an ethernet cable that has high speed internet are you able to log in?

          I brought the laptop to work and plugged into the router here, hard-wired... Still INOP...

            Do I need to send a second email? I've not received response from support... Apologies for being pushy, really need to resolve this problem ....

              Hello johnMoss,

              Did you send an email to platformsupport [at] ninjatrader [dot] com (replace the ' [at] ' with '@' and ' [dot] ' with '.') from your personal email?

              Did you receive an automatic confirmation email that your email was received?

              Have you checked your spam or junk mail folder to ensure the reply email was not directed to the spam folder?

                        Just to finish out this thread for other's future reference, the issue was I had not noticed in the configure section of the connection window the connection was leading to "BarChart". Correcting this solved the problem. Thanks ...
