I have just started using my license to do live-time trading but the charts are not refreshing by itself. When I go back to the demo account, it works fine. I tried to place a bid just to see what would happen and an error pops up saying, "you can't have a zero limit price." I already had my account with dorman trading all set up and have money in the account.

Based on the symptoms as you describe them, I suspect your live account is not enabled for real-time data. Please contact your broker to confirm your real-time data subscriptions. -
Your license key does not affect your ability to receive live data. I'd recommend confirming with your data provider what real-time data you're currently subscribed to.Comment
