    Not able to receive tick data for some instruments from Interactive Brokers

    My ninijaTrader version is 8.0.22.2 64-bit. My IB's version is Build 979.4x and also IB Gateway 978.

    I am not able to receive data(Time and Sales) for some instruments especially stocks such as SPY, BA. Thing is that It happens about 70% of the time. In other words, sometimes I can receive data. The result is that their charts do not get updated.

    For example, you can see it from the screenshot I attached. Some instruments are blank.

    Also NinjaTrader 7 has no similar issues. But I do not want to go back to the 7 because it has other problems with IB.

    Hello sys_trader,

    Are you connected to the TWS or the Gateway when this occurs?

    TWS 979.4x has not yet been tested by our Product Development Team, as such we cannot guarantee that the connection works without issues.

    The suggested version for TWS is 978.2c - this version may be found in our Connection Guide at the below address:



    I've also added a direct link to both supported versions for your convenience:Could you please let me know if this also occurs with either of these two versions?

      I tried both of them. My gateway is 978.2c. I will try TWS 978.2c and let you know.

          TWS 978.2c so far so good. Gateway 978.2c works once in a while. I do not know if it is IB or NJ. My previous NJ 8 seemed to work fine.

          I might need to get Kinetic data feed. IB's data feed is pretty junk
