Bidask v updown tick

I am just starting out with volumetric charts and have encountered what appears to be a problem with data. My data is from FXCM currency cross rates.

The charts appear to populate correctly using up-dwn tick, however using bid/ask the ask side shows 0 trades which of course cannot be correct.
If I switch to updwn tick and the back to bid ask the trades at the ask may populate for a short time but then begin to register as 0 again. I have tried different instruments, timeframes and chart styles with tick replay and without but the problem does not go away.

I have watched the charts and suspect the issue may be caused when a price bar moves from negative to positive and vice versa. A bit of a guess that though.

Don't know if this down to NT8, FXCM or myself. Any help appreciated. The problem is present in both my demo account and live account.

Thank you for your note.

Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN CHRIS S 2688043" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.

• Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
• Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
• Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
• Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.
