    I canīt add new intrument

    When I want to add a new intrument to a chart,
    I canīt because the magnifying glass icon doesnīt appear in my DataSeries window!!!, and it should appear!
    I have the latest version of ninjatrader8.
    I downloaded it again and used the "repair" function,
    but I have again that problem!
    See im1 to see the Data Series window without the magnifying glass icon!!!
    And in im2 , captured from help guide, you can see the magnifying lens that doesn't appear in im1 attached file.
    How can I have the Data Series window as it should be???

    Parmenides48, Please do you use live feed or demo? maybe the database has to be loaded first before accessing instruments. Weekend live data may not be available. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSytIr_NJB8

      Thanks for your fast answer.
      I use live feed.
      Thanks for that cideo. I can load any future using that way.
      But my question was about the "magnifying glass icon, because it doesn't appear in the Data Series window of my ninjatrader,

        I don't have it on my NinjaTrader 8., i suppose NinjaTrader 8 help guide will clarify it.
        See below.


        From 'Add Data Series' in 'Working with Price' NT8NinjaTrader 8 Help Guide)

        1.Use the Instrument Selector dropdown menu to select a recently used or pinned instrument, or any instrument in an Instrument List.

        2.Type the instrument symbol (including the contract month for futures instruments) directly into the Instrument Selector, then press the "Enter" key.

        3.Left mouse click on the magnifying glass icon next to the Instrument Selector. In the window that appears, use the search field to search available instruments by symbol or description, then double left mouse click on an instrument in the search results to add it to the list of applied Data Series.


        Number 3, explains the 'Magnifying glass icon'.

          Hello,

          Thank you for your posts.

          Glad to assist. The absence of the magnifying glass is due to a recent change / update to the Instrument selector that added the Quick Search function (version 8.0.12.1). This allows for a faster method of browsing lists or searching by typing in the Instrument field directly.

          See the below sections of our help guide for further details on the updated search or selector.
