    LONG delay in order submission

    Hello,

    It is taking intolerably long for my orders to be submitted, and then filled. I use chart trader, and when I click buy/sell mkt it takes a few full seconds (maybe 2-3) for the order to be submitted, and then even longer for me to see the actual order on my chart and hear "order filled".

    Can somebody explain to me what factors contribute to the time it takes for orders to be submitted/filled? I understand that the second part (filled) is variable depending upon liquidity, but it should not take this long to submit orders, and in fact it did not always take this long, order submission used to be essentially instantaneous for me.

    This is a live account we're talking about here and as you can imagine, orders taking this long to be submitted presents a huge problem, especially considering that I'm trading on 1min charts. Anything I can do on my end to speed things up? Please help!

    It's hard to be sure what factors may be contributing to the behavior solely based on the information that you've provided so far. I'd like to take a look at your database, log, and trace files to better assist you.

    You can send this information to me by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

    Expand 'Other files' and enable 'Database file'.

          Hello Aquatrade,

          Though I can't tell you definitively what the issue was, I can tell you that doing a fresh installation of NT8 solved the issue. Be sure to follow the set of instructions that will keep all of the scripts/custom files that you need in a SEPARATE folder from the new installation. This is so you can re add them as needed, being that you don't know which of them are causing the performance issue.

              Hello,
              Is there any reason why this lag is being experienced? I've been having the same issue lately, which is very dangerous on a live account with the MNQ or NQ.
              It doesn't happen on the Simulation account, only the live account, so I don't think it has anything to do with a fresh install or scripts /custom files.
              On the live account, even market orders are delayed...
