Thanks so much for the detailed info !! It works very well, and with NT8, I
always know I can write something extended, if necessary.

Hello Hyper,
Thanks for your post.
"Is it possible to specify fixed scaling for the rightside price axis of a chart?". Yes, you can do this manually. On the price column, right mouse click and select properties. In the properties window, change "Range" from automatic to Fixed. You can now specify the charts Minimum and maximum values to your preference. Note that you can also set your gridlines as desired (this may be what you ultimately want to do as this provide the same visual reference if using automatic or fixed scale). Once a chart is in fixed scale, you will need to move the chart up or down as it will no longer automatically adjust for you. To move the chart up/down while retaining the fixed scale, hold down the ctrl key and left click and drag the chart bars up/down. To return to automatic scaling, left click the "F" in the upper right corner of the price column.
Changing the gridlines may be a better solution for you as they can remain fixed at your specified increments even while leaving the chart in automatic scaling. This would provide the maximum automation while providing a fixed known reference for judging a candles movements. To change the gridlines, right mouse click in the price column and select "properties". In the properties window, set "Horizontal grid lines" from Automatic to Fixed, adjust the interval type and interval value to suit your needs.
You can add an indicator that can control the scaling if you wish. please see the help guide here: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...lateminmax.htm

Fixed price axis scaling for a Chart ?
Hi. Is it possible to specify fixed scaling for the rightside price axis of a chart?
If not, is it possible to code something which will govern the scaling increments?
With dynamic scaling, it is often difficult, at a glance, to appreciate just how much
Price is moving, when it may be 1/2 Point at one time; and 5 points another time...
[edit] I could write up an Indicator that drew lines in the vicinity of current price,
which were fixed increments; I guess, but wanted something out of the box.
