    Drawings lagging

    Hi,

    For some reason the drawings on the chart are lagging. Everything else is fine. I tried creating a new workspace, and new chart window, tried restarting, but same thing.

    Thank you for your note.

    Unfortunately we're unable to assist with this issue over the forums as it requires a more in depth view of your log files.

    Please send us a copy of your log and trace files and an explanation of what you're seeing through the platform.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

    Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

      Hi Heath,

      Just realized that it's because it's only with a rectangle box and a line. It works fine when I don't have those drawings on all the charts. The rest are fine even when transferred on all charts.

        To your recollection have you imported any custom drawing objects that asked to overwrite existing drawing objects or indicators?

          I did get a custom drawing object, but that was about a year ago. I also don't think it asked to overwrite existing drawing objects or anything like that.

            Thank you for your reply.

            Based on the information we have I would recommend following the steps below to remove and replace those Drawing objects with the default versions. To do this:
            • Close NinjaTrader
            • On your PC, Navigate to Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\
            • Grab the "Drawing Tools" folder and move it to your desktop so it isn't in the \bin\Custom\ folder anymore (but we can move it back if needed).
            • Open the Windows Control Panel, Under "Programs and settings" click on "Uninstall a program"
            • From the list that appears select NinjaTrader, right click and select the Repair option. (this will reinstall the default drawing objects)
            • If prompted to allow a program to make changes to your PC click yes.
            • Once completed, please launch NinjaTrader and let me know if this error persists.
