Where is the ninjascript source file?

    Hello,

I install visual studio for debugging and followed instruction on how to open ninjascript in VS but once you selected attach it says Open the NinjaScript source file within Microsoft Visual Studio.

Does the file is suppose to open automatically or do i need to get to open a file?

Cause there is nothing showing in the VS window , only diagnostic tools and a purpule font.

    TY

      The message error:

a project with an output type of classlibrary cannot be started directly. To debug this project, add to this solution an executable project that references the library project. Set the executable project as start-up project.

        Hello frankduc,

        Thank you for your post.

While you have likely done several of these things already, to allow us to find out exactly what is occurring, I would like to ask if you could watch the video linked below and go through the steps to set up Visual Studio to work with NinjaTrader in order? Please stop and report back as soon as a step does not work, and let us know which step it was.

Thanks in advance, I look forward to your reply.

          Brandon,

Ok i went all throught the steps. Now how do i debug the script?
I setup a few breaking points in my script. I was expecting some text somewhere in VS to tell me if something wrong, but nothing.

            Hello frankduc,

            Thank you for your note.

Please view the following publicly available link below for information about debugging with Visual Studio.

Debugging with Visual Studio - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/vis...s?view=vs-2019

Also, please note that Breakpoints may be used to step through code and if you receive an error when the debugger is attached, the debugger will point to the line of code that throws an error. I have also attached a publicly available link below with more information about Breakpoints for you to view.

            Breakpoints - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/vis...s?view=vs-2019
