Prevent trades in specific instrument

Hi everyone,

Without getting too deep in my current NT8 setup, I sometimes overlay charts. I was wondering, is it possible to change a setting so that I CANNOT place any trade in a specific instrument? Like with the "risk" tab under "Tools"? I set the "maximum order" for the specific instrument to 0, however it still seems to accept orders.

Thank you for your post.

Risk management only applies to the Sim101 account. All risk management on live accounts would have to go through your brokerage as the platform itself would not be able to easily block order submission.

Something you could do would be to turn on order confirmations so that you may confirm the order before it is placed. That way if you do not want an order placed on a specific instrument, you could choose not to place that order. To turn on order confirmations, navigate to Tools > Options > Trading tab. Locate 'Confirm order placement' and check the box next to it.
