ID:	1128560 This is so crazy, I have no idea how can it happen.
I'm attaching 3 screenshots taken few minutes ago. I was on ES live feed and at 500 tick I did not recognized a channel, channel 324. I usually design channels on a major scale in order to have references when on a smaller scale, very daily routine. It happen that this channel when switching from 500 tick to 2000 to 3000 changes position. How on earth can we have this issues ? Thanks Max

    Hello Lando Calrissian,

    Thank you for your post.

It would be expected that the same channels drawn on a chart will have future anchor values which do not match between charts when switching between chart intervals because future anchors adjust per chart and are simply estimates. Especially with tick based charts, since we don't necessarily know what time tick bars will close, they can appear to move as new bars are formed as well.

This is expected and a limitation of plotting drawing objects into the future.

Hello Kate, thanks for your answer. I'm talking about channels that are anchored to past prices that already exist on the chart. D

        Hello Lando Calrissian,

        Thank you for your reply.

If a channel is anchored in the past but extends into the future, we would expect to to see this occur. What I'm seeing in your screenshots is lots of lines that extend past the currently forming bar which would be subject to this. Can you provide an example of just the line you're referring to?

Thanks in advance; I look forward to assisting you further.

Hello Kate, I've loaded 3 charts with a star placed on the same channel which is also selected (see the circle at the extremities) and the ID of the channel highlighted on the drawing object menu. I thought that was easy to recognize, but if not, that is exactly what I'm talking about. The charts are the same one with diffeent tick value, 500, 1000, 2000 as you can see on top of every chart. Thanks

            Hello Lando Calrissian,

            Thank you for your reply.

Those lines extend past the currently forming bar and would be subject to the aforementioned limitation.

Hello Kate, does this happen with every other chart type, like time chart, range chart etc or only with tick data? Is there a way to fix it or around it? Thx

                Hello Lando Calrissian,

                Thank you for your reply.

Generally it would be seen on tick based charts but can be seen on a time based chart when using Equidistant bar spacing - if there isn't a bar at a particular time this can make the lines appear to shift. You can try turning off equidistant bar spacing to see if that helps, however, with tick based bars you may still see some shifting. You can turn off Equidistant Bar Spacing by right clicking on the chart > Properties > uncheck equidistant bar spacing. This will space bars as they occur over time.
