Unable to view Stocks/Indicies historical data. IBKR account connected.

    Unable to view Stocks/Indicies historical data. IBKR account connected.

    Hi,

    I can see Forex historical data on NT8 via my IBKR account, but nothing comes up when I select a stock or an index.

    How do I rectify this?

    Thanks for your post.

    What version of TWS are you using?

    You'll need to be using the supported version of TWS as per the connection guide below to ensure the connection functions correctly:

    Do you receive a specific error in your log tab of the Control Center after doing so when requesting stock data?

      Hi Marco,

      I do have the latest TWS system, 981.2e.

      I get "Historical Market Data Service Error Message:No market data permissions for ISLAND STK" when selecting a stock. Yet I can view both stocks and indices on IBKR

        Hello,

        This is likely caused by the version of Traders Workstation you're using on your machine, or that the version is configured incorrectly.

        Using Interactive Brokers as a connection with NinjaTrader 8 requires a specific version of Traders Workstation (TWS) to be installed and running on your computer (version 978.2c). Using NinjaTrader 8 with any other version of the TWS platform will result in unexpected behavior as these versions are not supported.

        I would recommend removing the current version of TWS and following the link below to install the correct version.

          Thank you, I have used the connection guide previously to link NT to my brokerage account. TWS automatically updates to newer builds so I shall have to contact IBKR customer support to see what they advise about maintaining version 978.2c of TWS on my laptop for NT8.

                Hi,

                I have build 978-2c installed and not updating. I still have an issue with data from IBKR. I have screenshots attached for when I try and view a APPL and SP500.

                  This message usually indicates your account is not enabled for live data. Please note delayed data will not work in NinjaTrader as well.
