unhandled exception: an item with the same key has already been added

I get the message "unhandled exception: an item with the same key has already been added" when I click to go onto the "Edit" tab on the historical data form. Clicking ok I get the circular "waiting" mouse pointer. I added over 100+ instruments (Daily Data) from Kinetick end of day. Is there a limit to how many instruments you can have in the historical database?

    Can you advise please?

    Thanks

    Hello Mark,

There is no limit on the amount of instruments for which you can have historical data.

Can you please send me your log and trace files so that I may look into what occurred.

You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: Attn Jason, 2853374

      Hello Mark,

Thank you for sending the files.

I notice you have a previous version installed. Can you please download and install the latest NinjaTrader 8 version (8.0.23.1) and check if the crash persists.

First, please make a copy of the license key entered at Control Center-->Help-->License Key as you need it to download NinjaTrader.
Once installed, please start NinjaTrader and check if the missing data is loaded. If not initially, please right click in the chart and select "Reload All Historical Data".

I notice the crash happened for the first time on November 26th. Were there any changes in NinjaTrader on this date? Could it be you created a custom instrument at Control Center-->Tools-->Instruments?

If the issue persists, please try the following.
      • Shut down NinjaTrader.
      • Navigate to Documents-->NinjaTrader 8-->db
      • Transfer (cut & paste) the "day" folder temporarily to your desktop.
      • Start NinjaTrader and check if you can open the Historical Data window without issue.
