    Auto Breakdown

As part of my ATM strategies, I have a certain setup where I have 2 contracts, the first one is set to 4 ticks & the second is at 12 ticks. Both of them have 8 tick stop losses & my second contract moves to breakeven after my initial contract reaches 5 ticks (auto breakeven). Was is concerning to me however is that once in awhile my second contract does not move to breakeven even after the initial 5 tick is met (I am scalped out at that point as well) & I find my self moving it to breakeven manually, what is the reason for that?

    thank you

    Hello tcea9,

    Thank you for your post.

So I may accurately assist you, please answer all of the following questions:
    • What version of NinjaTrader are you using? Please provide the entire version number. This can be found under Help -> About (Example: 7.0.1000.? or 8.0.?.?)
    • Are there any specific steps that can be taken to reproduce the issue or does it only occur intermittently?
    • Please provide a screenshot of the ATM Strategy and Stop Strategy parameters.
I look forward to your reply.

        Hello tcea9,

        Thank you for your reply.

        I notice that your Auto Breakeven stop strategy is not saved as a template and appears as 'Custom' within your ATM Strategy. I would like to test and see if the behavior you describe still occurs if you save your Auto Breakeven strategy as a template, and resave your ATM Strategy with the Auto Breakeven template applied. To do this;
        • Navigate to your Custom stop strategy
        • Select Save as Template
        • Give your stop strategy a name
        • Select 'Save'
        • Select 'OK' on the stop strategy window to exit
        • From your ATM Strategy, select 'Save as Template'
        • Select '1 Scalper + 1 Runner' from the list of templates
        • Select 'Save'
        • Navigate to your Control Center
        • Select 'Workspaces'
        • Hover your mouse over the name of your workspace and select 'Save'.
Additionally, I notice that you are using a release of NinjaTrader 8 that has not yet been publicly released. Was this provided to you by a member of our support staff?
