Market Analyzer Alert not working for whole instrument list

Hi everybody,

I am trying to use an alert in the market analyzer, e.g. current price exceeds the SMA etc.
In principal the alert works fine and I get a notification in the alert log, but only when I click on the respective stock.

Instead, I would like to get the all alerts for the whole instrument list, e.g. Nasdaq 100, whenever I open Ninjatrader.

Is that possible and can you give me some guidance please?

Hello Telco,

The alert should trigger when the conditions are met, not when you click the stock in the Market Analyzer. Can you please post a screenshot that shows how the alert is configured.

If you like the alert to apply for all instruments in the Market Analyzer, please set 'Apply to' to 'All' in the alert settings.

What is the calculate method set to in your SMA settings? If set to 'on bar close' this would not fire an alert until the weekly bar closes.

I have the same issue and have always had the same issue, the Alerts just do not come in from the Market analyzer even though when you check the charts they should have been triggering all day long. The Alert is a simple crossover, I have it set to trigger on the 5 minute bar close and apply to "All" and re-arm on "Bar Close" . I got a couple of Alerts first thing this am on one stock but than nothing after that.

This always seems to be the same problem with the Market Analyzer and Alerts and I just can't figure out why?

thanks for the prompt response. I changed the SMA to "on each tick", however the alerts do not fire.
When I click on the respective instrument it is working fine - like previously when the setting was on bar close.

Any other idea?

I notice that your rearm type is set to 'On Connect'.

If you change the rearm type to a different method, such as on a timer, does the alert trigger more reliably?

I changed the rearm type to 'on timer' with a ream period of 1 seconds. Unfortunately no change.
