    Corrupt Historical Data Assistance

    Since I performed an update on NT updates ago, I've been receiving 2 types of error messages from time to time. One is "Unable to clear out Cache Data" another is "historical data.... is corrupt for ... instruction or stock...." not sure how I can fix that. I have gone into the historical data under Tools and right clicked to remove the historical data, yet I keep getting the error messages over and over again.

    Which then seems to crash my NT often.

    Any assistance with this will be much appreciated as it's really hard working with NinjaTrader when out of the blue it just crashes. Again this happens often.

    For me, I will backup the file first and the delete the NT8.
    And the reinstall again.

      What files would you recommend backing up before deleting and reinstalling NT8? I have different workspaces, some strategies, indicators, drawing tools, etc. Should I just backup all folders and then delete NT8?

            Thank you for your note.

            Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to an email to platformsupport[AT]ninjatrader[DOT]com with "ATTN CHRIS S 2924343" in the subject line so I may investigate this matter further.
            • Open your NinjaTrader folder under Documents.
            • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
            • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
            • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

            I look forward to your reply.

              I deleted and reinstalled NT8, if the problem reappears I will perform the steps you recommended and send the logs.
