Simulated Data Feed not working today

Hi. Today I wanted to test my strategy on Simulated Data Feed and it doesn't seem to work.

I'm already connected via Connections > Simulated Data Feed, selected Default 24x7 for TimeFrame > TradeHours when opening Chart, and selected a 5 day range ending on Dec. 18, 2020.

Is there another thing that's causing it to work?
Will running Strategy Analyzer do that?
Or not yet pulling new chart data for 2021 (since FDAX just changed TickSize to 1 and we still want to backtest with TickSize 0.5 using 2020 dates backwards).

Thanks for the post.

Can you clarify, are you trying to do a backtest or a realtime test? The simulated data feed is for generating fake realtime data, that would not be used for backtesting. To do a backtest you would need historical data for the timeframe you selected.

Thanks for clarifying.

Are you seeing that bars are not building or what specifically is happening while using the simulated data feed? Do you see other instruments working and only the one you mentioned is not working?

Hi Jesse,

The historical bars are able to load but the fake realtime data don't. Usually I see the fake bars form but now there's nothing like that.

Thank you for the reply.

One note that I see from your original post is the date: Dec. 18, 2020., this connection is a realtime connection you would need to be on todays date to see live data. If you picked a historical date nothing should happen besides historical data.

You can use the Playback connection to pick a historical date and then play forward from that point.
