    Unable to open NT 8 (64 bit)

    I recently installed NT 8 (latest version) on a new computer and was able to run it just fine. But then I decided to uninstall but then reinstall it and now when I try to run the program I get an error message.

    Unable to connect to DB. Could not load file or assembly 'System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll' or one of its dependencies. Error performing inpage operation. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800703E7)



    I AM able to run NT 32bit just FYI



    I have WIndows 10 64bit

    Thank you for your post.

    Please reboot your PC. Then try again to reinstall NinjaTrader.

    The error code:0x800703E7 generally indicates that the update or reinstall did not install properly.

    Please let us know if you continue to see the same behavior.

      I still have the same error after a reboot of my computer. The very first installation on my computer worked, only once I uninstalled and reinstalled have I gotten this message now every time I try to open the 64 bit version. The 32 bit version works fine

        Thanks for your reply.
        Please do a complete reinstall to resolve this:
        • Close all running applications.
        • Navigate to your Documents folder > Right click on the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder > Rename > rename the folder to 'NinjaTrader 8 OLD'. DO NOT delete this folder.
        • Uninstall NinjaTrader within Windows Control Panel.
        • Navigate to C:\ > Program File (x86) > Delete the 'NinjaTrader 8' folder if it exists
        • Reboot your PC.
        • Once these steps are completed, download and install NT8 from the link below.

        Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.

          I followed these instructions exactly and still get the same original error I did in my first post when trying to open the 64 bit version

            Thanks for your reply.
            Please send your log and trace files to PlatformSupport[AT]NinjaTrader[DOT]com.
            Reference the following ticket number in the body of the email 2942100 ATTN Giovanna

            Please follow the steps below to manually attach your log and trace files to your message so I may investigate this matter further.
            • Open your NinjaTrader folder under, "Documents" (sometimes called, "My Documents")
            • Right click on the 'log' and 'trace' folders and select Send To> Compressed (zipped) Folder.
            • Send the 2 compressed folders as attachments to this email.
            • Once complete, you can delete these compressed folders.

              Knowing how to start NT8 in safemode can instantly tell you if the problem is with a setting or addon vs the defautl program install .... did a little video on that here: https://www.xabcdtrading.com/blog/us...ninjatrader-8/ super handy little trick...
