    Order type not permitted while the market is in pre open Exchange

    Around 3:15 PM CST I'm getting this error, does anyone know how to resolve it? I'm simply trying to close a trade I thought was simulated but actually is real, and now I am unable to.
    I thought I could trade Futures beyond regular stock market hours?

    Edit: It's working now, so it's the pre market closure that disables it.
    What's the penalty if I leave it open on futures during this brief period?

    In addition to contacting the orders desk, please send me your log and trace files directly from the platform rather than posting them here, since they may contain personally identifiable information, so that I may look into what occurred.

    You can do this by going to the Control Center-> Help-> Email Support

    Ensuring 'Log and Trace Files' is checked will include these files. This is checked by default.

    Please reference the following ticket number in the body of the email: TICKET# ATTN Conner S. and include a link to this post in the body of the email.

      Thanks for the reply. It says there was a sell though so I'm not sure if it was lagged and went through or not.
      In the "Positions" tab I don't see anything. Does that mean I should be good?
