    error CS0234

    Hi I deleted a file @ SMA.cs and then added it again and it gives me an error in ninjascript editor when compiling any indicator. The error message is strategyGenerator.cs and I get the error code CS0234. I have done all the steps but in the end I don't know which file to add, can you help me?

    To re-import a 3rd party dll:


    1.Open the NinjaScript Editor via New > NinjaScript editor.

    2.Right mouse click in the NinjaScript Editor main window and select the menu name "References"

    3.In the "References" dialog window press the button "Add"

    4.Select the 3rd party DLL

    --------------------------------------

    Please send me a screenshot of your NinjaScript Editor with the NinjaScript File column and Error column fully visible (not to be confused with the Code column)
    • To send a screenshot with Windows 7 or newer I would recommend using Window's, Snipping Tool.
    • Alternatively to send a screenshot press Alt + PRINT SCREEN to take a screenshot of the selected window. Then go to Start--> Accessories--> Paint, and press CTRL + V to paste the image. Lastly, save as a jpeg file and send the file as an attachment.

          Thank you for your reply.

          This error indicates that a system indicator is missing from the NinjaTrader 8 -> bin -> Custom -> Indicator folder, or a corrupt file is currently present. We are gonna want to repair the installation to correct this issue. To do this;
          1. Shut down NinjaTrader
          2. Navigate to Add/Remove Programs within the user's PC's Control Panel.
          3. Click "NinjaTrader 8" in the list of installed programs to select it.
          4. Click "Repair".
          5. Finally, restart NinjaTrader and recompile.

            Thanks, it worked, oh my god.
            I have a problem and it only happens to me with an indicator that when I install it I get an error that asks me to install it. It is a very important indicator for me and I cannot install it, please tell how I can install it. All the other indicators if I can install it, but not this one. I have tried on another ninjatrader and it can be installed but not on my computer.

              I can definitely try to help. Are you receiving some type of error when you attempt to import? If so, what is the error message that you receive?

              What is the name of this indicator? Is it from a third party or was it developed custom for you?

                In other ninjatraders of other computers and with the latest version NT8, 23, there is no problem. It only exists on my computer, thanks.
                But only this indicator.

                    This isn't a problem with the version of NinjaTrader, it's a conflict between NinjaScript files. This one may be tricky to track down because the message you are receiving states that there are duplicate methods, which means that there is a conflict between something you have installed currently and what you are trying to import. At a test, please select 'No' on the window that asks you to replace the @SMA file. If you choose 'No' on the first window, do you continue to experience the second message or does the import work correctly?

                      The same thing keeps happening to me, I've tried it several times. If I send you the file privately, could you tell me what files could you verify?
