    TradePerformance / New Computer

    Hello,

    I have installed NinjaTrader on a new computer.

    Unfortunately the Orders, Executions, Trades and also the Analysis are gone.

    What happend? Is it not possible to retrieve the data from the Broker again?

    Thanks for your post.

    Unfortunately the following items stored in the old database on the other computer will not be shown in the new database - Trading Hours templates, Instrument Lists / Custom Instruments, historical trade execution data, saved Strategy Analyzer backtest results.

    If you go back to the old computer and make a backup file with the Database checked in it's properties and restore it on the new computer, this data will appear in the new computer.

      thank you for your answer.

      I guess it is required to close NinjaTrader to just make a backup of the NinjaTrader.sdf via an automatic script.

      Will any new data automatically be immediately flushed to the NinjaTrader.sdf file?

        Hello,

        Thanks for your reply.

        Creating the backup file would not require shutting down NinjaTrader.

        Any new data made in the new computers database will be replaced by the old database from the old computer when the restore occurs.

          how can I merge two sdf-databases from two computers to one sdf-database?

            Unfortunately, there isn't a menu or property option within NinjaTrader to accomplish this.
