Both programs require Chart Trader to be active and interact with it, either by placing an order on the screen (Innovative Ordering) using a Y axis sidebar positioned next to Chart Trader or by clicking on a button that the program places on the Chart Trader sidebar (Quick Trade Ninja) which then places an order one tick above/below the previous bar. .
Occasionally (not always), after placing the order or after the order is executed the cursor will disappear in that chart window and, sometimes, several additional windows with different tickers, for anywhere from about 20 to 50 seconds. The countdown timers that I have in those windows will also freeze, however the market data will continue to change in real time even though I can't access the window (because the mouse has disappeared). The consummation of orders will also not be affected during the mouse disappearance in those windows. Sometimes the mouse won't disappear but will be uncontrollable in the window, e.g., right clicking on the mouse won't bring up a menu in that window. Outside of the particular windows affected (which can include the primary NT control window), mouse actions and visibility are not in any other active programs.
Additional Information:
CPU usage doesn't change during the mouse disappearance (NT is still using about 18% and overall usage is about 40% out of 16GB) .
Changing the priority level for NT doesn't affect the problem.
I have many windows open, but, as I wrote above, processor usage is low.
Other than this, all of my other indicators work well together, and I have never separately had NT pauses or slow downs. Any suggestions as to what I might try would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen
