    No risk setting defined for instrument in NT8

    Hi,

    I am getting error as attached . "No risk setting defined for instrument".

    1. if reffered https://ninjatrader.com/support/foru...for-instrument and did reset risk setting to default but still i get error.
    2. Even if i add new new simulation account sometime it comes initially when i try to place order or it places initially some time and the same error contineus.

    Can you please solve ASAP?

    Thank you for your post.


    We were recently made aware of an erroneous risk template that was added to the platform from a database update, which is the cause of the error message that you are receiving. In order to correct this item, you will need to first delete the erroneous risk templates then reset the Sim101 account.



    To remove the erroneous risk template;
    • Shut down NinjaTrader
    • On your PC, navigate to Documents/NinjaTrader 8/templates/Risk
    • Delete the risk templates titled '.xml', 'KPO.xml', and 'MES.xml'
    • I've included a video demonstration that I've made publicly available at the following link:


    Once you've deleted the erroneous risk templates, please do the following;
    • Restart NinjaTrader
    • From the NinjaTrader Control Center window select the Accounts tab
    • Right-click on your simulation account and select 'Edit Account'
    • Ensure that 'None' is selected for the 'Risk' property
    • Press the "Reset" button
    • Select OK

    After completing the steps above, you should now be able to place orders in the Sim101 account without error.

      Hi ,
      Above problem is solved . But i am not able to place ATM strategy along with stop strategy . I have defined xml for both in respective folder but while placing order it not recognizing

        Thank you for the update.


        I am glad to hear that you were able to resolve the risk template problem. In regard to the ATM and stop strategy, please upload the XML files here using the "upload attachments" button. I would like to try and test them in my platform to see if I get the same results.
